I don't think that will be this year. This thing is going to keep coming and subsiding until a vaccine is produced. I can see social distancing having to be carried on for quite a while which will hamper shoots to the point that they aren't feasible.

Wont hamper our little shoot,  we will just carry on as normal. Things will be relaxed a bit by then I'm sure.

Same here birds are ordered. May have to do a few weekends in a row to get things ready if and hopefully lockdown eases

Our birds are ordered, and it’s all systems go . I can’t see that this lockdown will carry on further than mid May . The country is at the point of bankruptcy, everyone needs to get the kids back to school and back to work. The old and vulnerable can do their social distancing if they want .

Two points to note here, (A) it isn't just the old and vulnerable that are succumbing to this virus. Some young and healthy people have died including health professionals so just because you are in a certain category don't think you are safe, no one is. (B) The police still have the Corona virus legislation on their side and if the government decide social distancing must continue and i am sure they will until a vaccine is available, then they WILL enforce it. They know where all these little shoots are including the one i am in and they will go all out to check the law isn't being flouted. They would like nothing more than to revoke certificates for it.

The problem is that unless we get back to some kind of normality soon . Business and the country cannot sustain our already fragile economy. Who is going to pay for the “fantastic “ NHS , if they can’t tax us because we are all unemployed?
Everyone wants to save lives , but where do you draw the line and say actually the impact of poverty on our nation’s health is worse than the corona virus. I’ve got a feeling that the powers that be are readying the nation to get back to work with some social distancing measures in place .
I’m sure that if push came to shove , I could organise a shoot day with social distancing . It might take longer to get them on their pegs and get the beaters around , but it could be done .

Look at Sweden for example, who haven’t gone into lockdown, their curve is flatter than ours ? Germany is already starting to emerge from lockdown.

My thoughts exactly,  although people dying is sad we have to look after the rest of the population and our economy.  We have to get back to work and normality for everyone's wellbeing,  this lockdown is no good.

If we go ahead, which hopefully we will, we will definitely have some sort of social distancing, the shoot trailer will be out of commission and like SL said it may take longer to set a drive up and to get people where they need to be but I bet they would take that over nothing, it’s not just a day out for people, rent needs to be paid, bird suppliers, pellet suppliers, who we get our wheat from all need to make money, they are without doubt going to be hit hard by this, so if we can go ahead and help a little I think we owe it to them to do so ?

Absolutely, if we don’t keep it going then we will do lasting damage to the industry. The feeling I get from our guns is even if we only shoot half the season they would be happy with that .
