Possible appeal against record barbel by gudgeon ace!

Recommended Posts

So if the captor of three potential record gudgeon in one session from a public stretch of canal had his record claim rejected because he refused to name the water, his appeal against the acceptance of the  "record" barbel might well be valid.

The barbel a  was accepted with the venue merely name as  Southern River.

The record fish committee rules do indicate that claims must be transparent to all so . The new "record " barbel was only half a handful of boilies or a fishy shxt over the old record anyway- hardly worth the fuss of claiming.

The barbel record could crumble .

I thought that he ha named the river as being the Arun? Was that a red herring to put the circus off the scent?

Either the captor or one of the Barbel Gurus let it slip when asked for a rent a quote. ..... l believe a few clubs have experienced a boost in membership enquiries ?

But ,my  post was worded theoretically.

Its purpose really just to see if it would get a mention on certain specimen forums . Which apparently it did, briefly. As in , before someone realised the date?

Actually very fair play to the captor of the record!
