when would you say a lurcher has fully grown

iv asked alot of people this one in the chat room and out!my thought was 14 month for a bitch bullx!alot of people say 12 month old?some people said longer when do you think?my pups by the way are 9 month old two bitches just under 21tts,so if its twelve month then they aint really got much growing left to do what do you think past experiances etc

Dogs in general are at full height and weight at 12 months but continue to change (loss puppy fat and gain muscle) untill about 18 months but this also varies from breed to breed. Generally the bigger the breed the longer untill fully grown yc.

well fella they will finish between 11-12 months,you will know how much is left in them by the amount of knuckle left on their front ankles.what size was the sire and dam and are they first crosses ,hope this helps

the old lurcher men always told me "a year for bone, a year for muscle". i would add to that "and another year for the brain". my saluki x is nearly 2 1/2, he's long finished growing & changing shape, but he's only in the last few months really started to understand what it's all about, and consistently do what i tell him. i was ready to strangle him when i first came on here, he was so bloody frustrating! but now i couldn't wish for a better dog

My little bitch didn't fully shape out till 2 years old.......her height stopped at around 15 months but her chest was still broadening till 2 years....Also muscle didn't stop developing till about 2......Didn't change much like but definatly changed..

Here she is at 12 months with her first daytime rabbit......As you can see she still looks quite gangaly and quite abit more racy than now..

Compared to a more recent pic of her on the left......Not very good but you can see she looks alot more solidly built.....still racy but you can see change in shape and build..
