The walking through lambing fields is a bad do I will agree with that.

And subtly encouraging people not to do it is probably the way forward.

Half a foot of slurry by the gate maybe the way to go for vulnerable fields.

To keep the idiots out.

You won’t believe some of the conversations I’ve had with these folk. So many of them are so self entitled its mad!

Reason I asked I go on a farm that has had a few attacks over the years and the farmer goes out and talks to those he sees with dogs running sheep or near them but he's a laid back sort but after the last attack he's had enough he's going to shoot them now because signs ect just don't work so he said maybe word of mouth will but he's never had has many folk on even been threatened by a middle aged couple with kids

Sadly it’s the same story I hear a lot!

I can only imagine some of the brain dead you have to deal with mate.

But there are decent folk walking about the countryside.

Dig half a foot from the gateways and fill with slurry.till the lambs have grown on a bit.

Personally I think it would be a good idea to shut the footpaths, what with all the added footfall caused by the virus in lambing season seems fair to me.

Plenty places to walk without crossing lambing fields

Yer I think I can’t across wrong at the start. No issue with folks using the countryside and we have a load of regular and semi regular walkers, cyclists, horse riders and dog walkers, even a couple of regular poachers ? who like to spin the odd hare. We don’t mind any of them.

Its just when the ‘masses’ are encouraged to go wander around like its some big park ....

This is it - surely it would be logical to get permissions to close certain paths or parts of them at certain times of year? Just like we can’t cut hedges in nesting season.

One think about this it's making the police job easier Dorset police had few non road worthy cars lately and drug dealers they had 2 fellas in a van  from London yesterday, and today a fella from the Midlands with load of weed.

They also had a carvanner from Gloucestershire an a fella from Portsmouth who was buying a secondhand fish tank ?
