This gets good reviews with 9-10 n Charlie hunnam playing lin so hopefully they do it justice I loved the book when I read while travelling through India back 2008 I know that much☺

I read the book in one sitting,unputdownable,hope the film is even half as good.

I just checked as I still have a copy 933 fair play

I'm the opposite I'm not into reading books at all but while I was in India at that time quite a few recommended it to me and like you I couldn't put it down..

I think he said he intended to write a trilogy but I didn’t read the sequel as it wasn’t on sale from John the Book in Chungking Hong Kong where I got shantaram.

I thought he was a bit Hare Krishna found myself in spiritualism mate,only so much of that I can take,though I did enjoy talking to a Buddhist monk for ages once who was telling me about monks who died in meditation while seeking enlightenment and no one knew they had died thats proper Nam myoho renge kyo stuff.
