That’s just a language difference, but I get exactly what you are saying, it just gets a bit boring listening to the same old bullshit throughout your entire working life then sitting here seeing it being fed to the next generation, life’s a journey mate but it’s not just about getting from a to b it’s about smelling the flowers on the way

Common sense goes a long way imo when running a company, a lot of these management programs and procedures revert back to good codes of practice and general moral standards...business is business no matter what you do or how you do it...buy at x and sale at a profit...I'm a simple fella, too much over complication and my brain hurts!! It's like this if you're a young brickie you would be crazy not to go on price work and earn as much as you can. The lads on our site are getting £200-£250 a day for about 6 hours work Mon-Thurs and 3-4 hours work Fri. Those wages still won't make you live like a millionaire, the price of living puts a stop to that.

Like most things in life, you don’t know that until you know it (if that makes sense) Some never know it. Chasing a pound note was the be all and end all for loads of lads just like us, it’s what you did.......and to be fair, when the opportunity arises I don’t think that ever leaves you. What I think happens is that you just get more relaxed about it and take a bit of time to smell the roses so to speak. Personally, I always hated those ultra “prudent” c**ts who watch every penny and scrutinise every bill, mean with themselves and everything else......they may be well off and comfortable but don’t deserve a tanner the mean b*****ds ! Lol There’s only one reason for money beyond what’s necessary and that’s to enjoy it imho

Very true, some will use the money wisely.id rather work one day acweek for 250,300 aday than 5 days pushing trolleys for the same amount.i bought a house, done it up,extended it,sold it after 2yrs,done the same again, bought flats at auction, rented em,then 15yrs sold everything, bought big place, built bungalow in field.happy days
