A good friend of mine is teacher, she doesn't know how their going to cope when the schools open again, she'll have 28 kids in her class alone. Bobtheferret 1,248 Posted May 17, 2020 Report Share Posted May 17, 2020 Study after study shows that children are both at so little risk that they are almost immune to the virus and also that in very comprehensive studies of where people caught the virus almost know one has caught the virus from children even if children that had tested positive where in a household adults still didn’t catch it from them. We simply can’t hide for ever, children need to be in school again. There is significantly more risk to children’s future being locked away indoors than there is by going to school. The idea of not opening schools until it’s 100 percent safe is a fantasy and one that is impossible with or without Covid. Nurseries at hospitals have been open throughout and they have seen no problems with children either catching or spreading Covid. Other countries are also opening their schools without issue so what makes us any different. This isn’t going anywhere and a vaccine is months and more likely years away.
