I get all this lads but in reality , what are we meant to do about it ?

My mother in law has copd and has been in self isolation since November as she can’t go out in the windy months .

this is destroying her , as in sending her up the walls mentally . But she needs to stay clear of people to keep herself free.

Its all well and good slating everyone but in reality , what are we meant to do , right now , what are we meant to be doing other than stopping the spread by isolation?

My MIL had major surgery before Christmas and she hasn't been out of the house since then. Even though we're comparatively low risk at the moment we can't take the chance. I've got two elderly neighbours that are in the same boat. They're all over 70 with massive underlying health issues and they're all scared sh*tless. Best we can do is run the errands and speak to them over the fence. I'm on speed-dial in case they have a mischief. My mam and dad are 5000 miles away locked in the house. They were due to fly over and stay with me May and June but are currently waiting for their money back on the flights. They're in better shape but still at risk. I just wish everyone was here at the Eagles Nest so I can keep an eye on them.

All we can do at this point is buy time. We can't put the toothpaste back in the tube and a lot of them at risk groups will have to sit tight until we get a handle on it. There's plenty of time to point fingers but this b*llsh*t scaremongering is panicking people and spreading stories about bioweapons, government conspiracies and 5G is adding an extra level of stress to those that don't know any better. My grandad and I had a good chat about wireless a few years back. He thought we were talking about radios. He passed away from dementia in November and I'm glad now because he wouldn't had stood a f*ck*ng chance in that home he was in.

Exactly my friend , running around folding deckchairs doesn’t stop the titanic sinking

this is totally unprecedented, no example to follow so it’s very much winning by finding what works and how .

At the minute though , it needs to ease first

Batten down the hatches lads, oil trading at NEGATIVE $40 a barrel yesterday......this is going to be a bonfire of everything I reckon.

Something has to make the operators cut supply in line with the demand drop.

Then again, China and Europe are trying to get their industries back in gear again and US and UK are talking about in near term so demand will rise again. To what level though....

Im not very educated but i believe testing,if high temp, isolate 2 week test again release.the poor nhs staff dont know if they got it or not, fumigate with the in car machine, ambulance, all transfer vehicles, medics cars, hospital wards, old biddy homes.prob is without testing any one who farts self isolates, while the covid can spread with out you having many symptons,so we got public workers with it with out knowing straight away because no test.also boris should have come on tv,masked up,viel, gown just to impress the serious ness of it to us mere brainless fools.then the boy gets covid..(none of this is based on one party or not as i dont follow /understand politics,so have no clue on any of it.wrong is wrong, right is right)

Seriously, after this, who is going back to “business as usual” ?

They ain’t going to flick a switch in June and normal service resumes, who is going to feel comfortable going to airports, football matches, concerts, the pub, the cafe, sending kids back to school ?

There are going to be a lot of poor b*****ds in serious schtook!
Who is going back to saying “oh well, it’s their fault they got in shit”

The governments of the world are going to be asking you to pay for this for the next 60 years, has anyone questioned where all the money you have been paying has gone?

Brown sold all the gold reserves at rock bottom prices but it was ok because we could borrow money agains a 2 bed semi valued at a million quid !

Torys have made the national debt gargantuan long before we ever heard the word Coronavirus !

We can’t and shouldn’t go back to that.

Virtually everyone! Because other than Max, who's personally died from this four times already, by far the biggest effect it's had on 99.9% of people is fear. Once we've all acclimatised to it, everyone will be cracking on again.

You know that's the reality of it mate.

Mate, I hope with all my heart you are not right......I’d completely loose faith in humanity then.

We can’t mate surely, how can we?

There will be systems put in place to deal with it and everyone will get comfy again and 'look forward' to the same shit they did before. I honestly don't see anything changing.

Do you think people, the British people of all, are going to let fear rule them? We haven't even begun to seriously implement intelligent systems to deal with this yet, once we do what fear there is will evaporate. Of course some small things will change but no one is braking 'the wheel'.
