Who do you know mate?

I’m not really going to say on an open forum for obvious reasons, but I have two family members who are high up in NHS. Both Doctors, but these days operating at policy level.

I was just advised from stopping my old man messing about with chainsaws etc or anything else would could lead to the daft old bugger ended up in hospital.

You after a clap?

Realised it sounds a bit poor me.

Point was just some folk are flat out. We aren’t dealing with the virus or anything, so no where near what the medical lot are doing.

But we start lambing in couple weeks, no student or owt, main staff member is vulnerable category so trying to stay in as much as possible. Struggling to get meds or supplies. Lamb price had just crashed so I lost about £15,000 over night with more to come, but don’t get any gov help due to nature of buisness.

On 7 days a week, live alone, Mrs has gone back to family etc.

Wouldnt mind too much being home with my family wondering what I was going to watch next or if I was going to have another beer or not, whilst getting 80% of my wage paid to me.

I wouldn't even say it's true in spain tbh lol it's just a video somebody has fired on twitter doing the rounds not really much to back it up that I have seen.

It’s standard practice.

If a responder arrives at an accident with multiple casualties, there’s already a priority list.

Probably a thick question but why has lamb crashed? Surely a demand for British meat in this country now? Or was most of it exported?

We've just bought a pig on co op basis on allotment, reading small holder posts most people can't supply the demand, if I had livestock I'd be trying to avoid supermarkets and get them on FB or social media ...never been a better time for market gardens and small holders, different for large scale I guess....

Up until the last number of years, we just slaughtered  our own animal's, but as you say, times have changed. A bit to much red tape now imo. Was watching an Australian programme about rual living. You can call a mobile slaughter man to your small holding, and he will take of business for you as well as the butchering. A great little number if you could do it here.
