trapliner 92
Half way through the book and must say it’s very confusing just a mass of repeated names of men and dogs and so much repeated would of been far better doing things in chronological order from the early days of John knowing buck and bray up to the present the majorty of what is written is gospel true but knowing jp personally he dous love a tale god bless him 4 Quote Link to post
Rickshaw swami 4,136
Not trying to hijack this thread but I was offered access to a Park stud.I have read the other threads on here trying to gather info. The ones I have access to look like ugly red borders. As mine are black bateared and ugly theirselves the pups would need to be fed with a slingshot.Have y'all used these terriers for outcross. What did it add? This particular stud seems to have a knack for dispatching. Is this a trait in his line or is this stud a one off? If your gonna put a book out on any subject and plan it so poorley that it both repeat's itself and goes off in all softs of directions, constantly making it difficult to read and then put sketches in that a school kid could better, then you should and will recieve critical comments. Especially when folk have forked out hard earned cash to buy it... And whilst i'm glad the author has chosen to write about 3 good terriermen, the books are all planned very badly. Funny that you dont read the same about Lloydy or Darcy, even Plummer for that matter, all of them know/knew how to set a book out...! Quote Link to post
big sid 1,127
no knickers in a twist as i have nothing to do with the book or the author, its just amusing how its the same know alls that can tell how to write a book but dont seem to get round to doing it themselves, which is a shame as they would surely come up with a best seller. I would have described the reviews you maybe referring too, as 'how NOT to write a book' Edited March 2, 2020 by Waz 2 Quote Link to post
