Rough haired lurchers

Can I clip my rough haired lurcher this summer or will it knacker his coat ?

Yep..used to do my old ruff hitch ....in fact about every 4 month cos she lived indoors.....I used to use hair clipers

I do my dog myself, when his hair is dragging on floor is a good time to think about it. I really should start wearing my glasses when I do it also. It really seems to bother the wife when she first sees him after a clipping, but the dogs not really arsed about it.

Have clipped my old dog for the past 7 or so years and his coat hasn't changed at all ..

It's will be his first winter coat so I might just strip him first see how he gets on with that

Had a go once clipping my old sprocker it took the hole day and several attempts throughout the day he was wired all the time total nightmare and looked a right mess after but cooled him down some in the summer

No mate ,but she needs doing again and I put a pic up of befor and after ,hand stripping gives a better coat I think than clippers ,

Mine get clipped every 2/3 months. Loads better. Easier to keep clean too
