I read some of it, so I’d say to anyone thinking of buying a house in Ireland.....wait, because the country will be skint again in 5 years and a house will be about £4.50 ! They just promised loads of free stuff and a United Ireland.......yeah, ok ! This in a country where they don’t have Broadband or phone signal in most places.......f**k sake like. Oh I read it. Don't believe it. Wheres all that money going to come from. What more can they tax us on. It's dumbfounding the stuff they come out with. They can't fix or run what they have, never mind the north. It's going to be interesting watching their progress. Atb j

I'm all for a united Ireland, if it was achieved without blood shed. An impossible ask probably. I really don't see it happening in my life time. Is it worth the loss of innocent lives, imo no. With the history of this island, I can't see SF making any headway in uniteing the country. I'm really in no position to comment or say how things should be, because iv not lived there, or know what it's it like or was like when things were very bad. But as an Irish man, yes I want Ireland back as it should be. Atb j

They can't work imo. These people can't sort out a little country like this, never mind what the UK is up too. They should keep close to the UK as a trading partner. We were paying something like 460 a year for myself and my missus, fully comp. Never had a accident, claim points on licence not even a parking ticket. It's gone up to nearly a grand. Just to pay for other people's claims. I called and said u wasn't paying this. They said fine, but would have to inform the guards that I had no insurance. Can't win. Anything to do with separatism or re-unification is treated with suspicion as the EU wants stability not conflict. That is why Wee Jimmy won't get EU support for a(nother once in a lifetime) independence referendum. Spain has its hands full trying to keep the Basques and Catalonians from splitting and if either of them break free they might take a chunk of France with them. They are only pandering to Wee Jimmy out of spite because Boris has cancelled the gravy train. IMO the EU will not support re-unification either because of the problems of uprooting British citizens. Look what happened in Palestine. That went well didn't it? Personally I think that the EU will stay out of this but insist that their financial rules, etc are obeyed. This is a great place to live, but we need proper jobs, with proper wages. I know one fella who works in Galway city. After his tax and every thing else is paid, travel, 110 miles every day, rent paid He's only 26 euro better off than the dole. Atb j

jetro 5,349
Dogmandont. Might be a stupid question. Apart from a united ireland, what would the people of N.I. gain and loose by becoming one country again. Atb j
