I'm all for a united Ireland, if it was achieved without blood shed. An impossible ask probably. I really don't see it happening in my life time. Is it worth the loss of innocent lives, imo no. With the history of this island, I can't see SF making any headway in uniteing the country. I'm really in no position to comment or say how things should be, because iv not lived there, or know what it's it like or was like when things were very bad. They can't work imo. These people can't sort out a little country like this, never mind what the UK is up too. They should keep close to the UK as a trading partner. We were paying something like 460 a year for myself and my missus, fully comp. Never had a accident, claim points on licence not even a parking ticket. It's gone up to nearly a grand. Just to pay for other people's claims. I called and said u wasn't paying this. They said fine, but would have to inform the guards that I had no insurance. Can't win. It's the young people getting stuffed there. My son told me on the weekend he's never coming back here to live again. Sad reality. My daughter granddaughter and her partner are leaving as well. This is a great place to live, but we need proper jobs, with proper wages. I know one fella who works in Galway city.
