I can see your point but he wasn't lying really. I don't think he knew himself what he wanted. When he was ready he told those closest to him. He never made a big thing of it and neither did we. Because it really isn't a big thing. 

Not everybody no,most people i couldnt care less.....but lads close to me who ive spent my lifetime getting to know yes i would know for 100% if they was bent....maybe your upbringing was different but when we was young we spent a good chunk of time discussing fanny and sharing experiences i thought most boys did.....then when life got a bit more serious and your settling down/marriage etc theres no way in a million years i wouldnt of known if a close pal was bent.....just no way and thats not macho red blooded male bullshit its just the truth it actually makes me laugh thinking about it.

We say all this " it wouldnt change anything " stuff but to me thats absolute bollocks whether its your son your brother or your mate of course it changes things....so yes if i found out a close friend had spent his entire life lying to me about anything....its a big thing.

Fair enough.
