Atb j Expand No mate cut the veg and meat (Beef Skirt) into 10mm pieces and it all goes in raw honest its dead easy and they are handsome. In that recipe it says put meat and veg in layers I just mix it all together. One thing I would say is don't try and do it with ready made pastry it just falls apart. Make your own pastry from strong bread flower its more elastic. I whack the flower salt lard and margarine in a blender till its like bread crumbs then put in a bowl and add the water.
