Outofnowhere 93
Any of you Pestie chaps either self employed or corporates looking to get into Asian Hornet nest removal at all? Quote Link to post
Nicepix 5,650
It could be a challenge if the hornet's behave like they do in France. Often the nests are 30 - 40 foot up in the branches quite a way from the trunk or any substantial bough that you could lean a ladder against. And the hornets sometimes attack anyone passing nearby. ZacB 120
Hopefully not established here - just a few immigrants that have been seen, located & destroyed! Any reports at present are dealt with by the ‘non native species secretariat’ but the feeling is there will come a time when the containment period is no more - then it will be Everyman to himself! Attended an event recently about the Asian Hornet, yes to the nests in trees..........but also found in the ground..........they’ll go anywhere! link for a few more details https://www.vespavelutina.co.uk/asianhornet.html Quote Link to post
