down to preferences. I like a peg around every 5 yards it keeps a good tight top line. always a few spare for uneven ground, and like to bant in with a peg slapping my boot. so I would take around 15

I sometimes lean the peg slightly in the direction I am going (as well as back) with the net so I can throw another loop for more tension. It will pull the peg vertical ish

Without a doubt I always have spare pegs. I have done enough trad netting you know there comes a point when you need extra.

funnily enough I do similar with the basket system ....im sure I have them at about 7 yard

a lot of the old boys around here pegged every 7 or 8 yds. I just find I can get more tension in my top line by pegging every 5 yards.
