Are you mad man??? It's the only time I get any peace!!

S D is experienced and gives good advice. Shooting is easy although some make it hard work.  Don't get stuck in a groove about chokes and bore sizes. There's nothing wrong in fixed chokes.  It re

32g loads can be punchy but a good fitting stock makes all the difference.

That coupled with the lighter loads will make it a breeze to shoot.

Yeah going to try some different loads and get the 20guage so atleast I have 2 shotguns depends on how I feel and can take a friend with me.

Might try convince another female to come with me ?

We have a couple of ladies that shot with us, we have two full members and we also have guests that come and have a go, I’m pretty sure if you take a friend they will love it, I’ve been trying to get the missus to come and have a go for years but like many, in her head she can’t do it because she’s never tried ?

I've found this quite interesting for myself.  We can all refresh and renew knowledge to become better.  And we can notice the bad things that we have slipped into without realising.  You picture is a bit misty but it looks like the stock is, a bit long causing the front hand to be a bit back and your head aways back. ( I think that the nose should be about three fingers from the rear hand on the wrist of the stock).  The stock might be a bit low in the shoulder causing you to roll the head down and to the right.  It's difficult to see from this angle.  The Leg stance is a bit wide also.  Sometimes it is a series of minor faults that create a bigger problem which can be rectified.  Here are a series of 7 sensible vid clips that should you chose to watch them will give a section of things that are the basics.  the clip with the proper woman (rural) covers the shape of stock for a woman's anatomy.  Shooting is a discipline that women can compete as equals with anyone.  The good coaches make it look effortless because like any god performer they practice.  watch them on as big a screen as you can.

Nicely put together meece.  Most shotguns are designed for men although there are a few manufacturers who have produced shotguns for women. An issue that can cause problems and did for my wife is that the toe of the stock digs into the womans shest causing the recoil effect to be more noticable which is what I found to be a problem for my wife. Secondly quite a few women prefer to hold the gun higher in the face, I believs because of higher cheek bones (my theory) and in turn this creates the the toe to dig in further.

I agree that a GOOD coach makes it look easy but also that a good coach will advise on any modifications the stock needs. I have altered the angle of the toe on my wife's gun so the toe doesn't dig in by unscrewing the butt pad and adding some specers to the heel of the pad in order to change the angle of the pad so now the pad sits in line with the chest hence the toe doesn't dig in. Quite an easy job to do and easy to keep adding spacers until you have reached a comfort level.

Beretta have produced a fully adjustable stock by working with TSK so that every part of the stock can be tweeked until fit is perfect BUT at a price. The TSK stock can be fitted to a number of guns and whilst not cheap, are a worthwhile investment if you are going to keep the gun and /or if someone is very serious about their competition shooting.

Thank you for all of this, massive help.

I find my stance a little wider due to the weakness to my left leg due to nerve damage in my back. But I also believe it may also be effected by the length of the stock.

I will be taking some classes soon to try work in my technique.

I shall watch the video thank you again.

Yeah I reckon I am probably subconsciously trying prevent the recoil from effecting me as much as it could.

I am hoping with a 20g, it will be a bit better.

Here is a perfect example of age creeping in Emi, I typed the last post without my reading glasses on and now having read it again, I see that I must wear glases all the time that I am typing. Sorry for the spelling mistakes.  ?
