Guest little_lloyd
I have been thinking about this one for ages lol Some lurchers just a few years ago was legaly alowed to take mink but no more Would a lurcher that would take mink when the opputunity arises when it was broken to ferrets and works alongside ferrets ? I know a few terriers that do .....( OPPS did) the mink that would have a ferret if given the chance but others who are fine with ferrets but monsters on mink. ????? Quote Link to post

leegreen 2,150
Both my dogs have caught mink and when I got a new ferrets they was both a bit hyped about them, the dog more so than the bitch but now they are ok in fact good as gold. Since then they have both tracked and caught mink and still no problem. But saying that I do not go ferreting with these dogs they only see them in hutch and walking about when my son is playing with them but I'm sure they would be fine. If you have good control over your dogs there sould not be a problem. Edited January 8, 2008 by leegreen Quote Link to post
Netter 0
I was ferreting once and a stoat bolted out of a warren, my dog nailed it within about 3 foot of the hole, at which point I shit myself thinking it was killing my ferret, as I got over to the dog my ferret came out the warren straight after the stoat, my lurcher just looked at it as if nothing had happened.
