fat man 4,741
I reckon it takes a special type of dog to work rocks,a lean terrier with a bit of leg to it and most importantly a good nose and extra gear if needed, jmo as I don't or never have worked rocks and fair fucks to the man and dogs that do 8 Quote Link to post
whitefeet4190 1,725
I think too much of my dogs to put them somewhere like that, to me it's only a fox and u will find plenty more in far easyer spots don't get me wrong I know there's always a risk when u put a dog to ground but u can help minimize the risks but each to their own Quote Link to post

Rabbit Hunter 6,613
Every man has his own opinion, but to me, I couldn’t and wouldn’t dream of risking a decent terrier in a death trap like that, where the best outcome possible is a bolted fox ? F*ck that. 3 Quote Link to post

I know a bloke who’s worked some places for 60 year and never had a problem in them and he was shown them by a bloke who had worked them for 60 year before him. If you work on 3 fox a year from them places over 120 year it’s a lot of fox without a terrier even having a night out. I’ve also driven past places he’s told me to never ever put a dog in and told me the tales of caving men going in looking for terriers and going for literally miles 2 Quote Link to post

chesney 5,442
Looking at the depth of it and the size of the holders that have come out of it all I can say is WOW fair play to any dog that sticks it out. 2 Quote Link to post
spindolero 1,111
on a trip to Ireland met a lad that had rockpiles on his permission, he had out and out digging dogs and avoided the rocks, saying "you need a wanker that can dance like a cat" lol no offence intended, the phrase tickled me. 7 Quote Link to post
