There is no doubt there will be some racist undertones in an old fashioned traditional establishment like the Royal family, there is no doubt Megan wouldn't have been the first choice for senior royals (race aside, an American, divorcee, actress dont fit the bill).. In some ways the use of race here as actually not helped what could be more damaging points, regards the way the press, media have acted (if all true), the lack of support to an obviously mentally scarred Harry and the upshot is this... I know money is no object, but that alone isn't the cure, the lad was forced to follow his mums coffin at 12 years old infront of the world, he's damaged no doubt... On a human level its quite sad all round.. Our kid found our brother in bed, when he was 11. He's managed to get on with his life since and have a good one at that, without mental breakdowns and craving attention (funnily enough his mate through all these years has been a mixed race lass, who still checks in on my mum, everyday). Trauma is individual, I understand this but it's not an excuse for chatting/doing shit. My old man has been using the death as an excuse to get pissed everyday for 18 years. I really do feel for Harry and Will, for what they had to go through. That said, I can't reconcile what he's been through with what he is saying and how he is acting. Just stinks of fame grabbing to me.

On a human level its quite sad all round.. thats very true...i bet every couple in a mixed race couple have chatted about there kids skin colour...i know we did....in fact its a standing joke in our family cos my eldest my daughter is a shade lighter than the boys...so ive always said shes white...just to wind her up a bit...tongue in cheek stuff.... then when she started collage 18 month ago she got a new set of mates...one of which is an asian lass....after about a month my daughter comes home to tell my this lass only just realised my daughter was mixed....thought she was just a dark haired white girl....of course we all had a good giggle about it... the thing with that is its about context.....i dont see any harm in a member of my family friends etc asking about a childs potential skin colour....it come down to context..... was it said in a derogatory way

Its tiresome some of the shit spouted based purely on skin colour, when 99% wouldn't speak the same way in front of a black person, the same as its tiresome when whites jump to the defense of black people as if on some crusade to move themselves so far away from racism it is laughable .. But amongst friends and family jokes are free flowing, and if you are comfortable with each other then boundaries can be pushed without offense.. right or wrong thats how we all act in normal life... We have no idea of the context or who said about Harry's sons potential skin colour, but if it was his close family and no malice was meant it is weak point scoring using race imo...no good for anyone... As my previous post, if Harry and Megan truly believed there wouldn't be some kind of resistance due to her race, job, history, being American then they were very naive.... I think you said they have missed a trick and I agree, the countries favourite was always Harry and she could've been the "ordinary" girl to change some views.... Its sad he feels so isolated in a family that his choice is to run...or its sad he is led by an over dominant wife...

If you wallow in self pity you go nowhere, I hate the pity me types, it don't suit my outlook on life...and mine hasn't been a bed of roses, but its what you make it.. But... Everyone is different, the expectation on Harry and William from such young ages, that stiff upper lip type of establishment can have far reaching affects...I've watched full breakdowns first hand, and you just can't believe someone so strong becomes so weak..... Harry to me has cracked, and that pent up grief, continued push to show strength has sent him here...she is the escape he is looking for... Unfortunately he has used the media to pop it back at his family, regardless of how poorly he feels they/he was treated it weakens his cause imo....
