Garmin alpha 100.... update

Hi, wondering if it's worth updating to the latest software on the garmin alpha 100... currently working fine with ul maps etc. I remember reading somewhere on here that a few lads got blocked after updating the software but not sure if this is still the case?

Thanks bunnyboiler... I'll leave it is, was going to download the google earth maps but dont want to knacker it after two days!  Seems a good bit of kit.Cheers

Don't do it! I've known several lads get locked out by trying to update. I've been running on the original software since 2014 and still works fine. If it ain't broken .......

I did mate yes was a bit suspicious and thought it was too good to be true at 250 quid but it seems spot on
