dodger 2,855
Real shame lads such a hard life for the humble rabbit what with all the diseases etc n the guns don't help I know quite a few that shoot and most openly admit to shooting rabbits n hares throughout the summer months Quote Link to post
Accip74 7,112
Only small pockets over here. When I first moved into this place the local population looked promising & thoughts of getting a runner were never far away, but those numbers have dropped in a few short years. killing a local rabbit doesn’t even enter my head now.........rather just leave them alone. fred90 3,323
the plus side to having a little mooching lurcher is working other stuff. she's mad keen on squirrels, takes the odd pheasant also had a few pigeons, she regularly puts up and runs the big rabbits but she is only really exercising them. 1 Quote Link to post

If I thought a small number were overwintering I would leave off. also it’s a golf course so I need to be seen to be doing a bit so I don’t lose it to someone else. I don’t snare any other perms I see where your coming from mate golf course ain't the best places to lamp with dogs either and you've got to show face on places like that 2 Quote Link to post
