It's all fake social media and the shortage of blue light.  Unfortunately the public are sheep who have short memories and a short attention span.  Like global warming the world ebbs and flows.  we have already forgotten all of the clods who wanted to reverse Brexit and the shenanigans of Blair and major along with that thing that used to be outside the houses of parliament hollering its head off every night when they were doing interviews.  All it needs is a minority to pin the blame on and tomorrows news for the thought path to change .  Todays news and opinions are tomorrows chip& chip wrapping paper.  Boris need to wheel the head of abc in when he gets back off of holiday and put his nuts in a vice and advise him to change track.
