So Satan is coming!

With all the religious, gothic pagan and folklore aspect of it, what's your interpretation on Christmas?

Any of us with kids are forced into it. The ads, the kids expectations etc etc.

It can be a great family get together, which I agree with, peace and good will. Kids getting lots of plastic crap that won't fit in with a game station, ultimately more Chinese carp for landflll.

What does it mean for you, good and bad points only, no fence sitters please.

We used to be able to do polls on this, where did that go?

I agree, people spending money they don't have on things they don't need.

It's a nice time of year  - charity and goodwill seems to be highlighted more than usual, some of us get time off work, there's nice food and drink, we see extended family more and, I like giving out nicely wrapped gifts - the young 'uns in the family love it.

Sure, it gets more commercialised every year but, I like it - long may it continue

That said, I still prefer the long warm days in the summer.
