Was the election slapping received by the Labour party a rejection of them and their leader, or was it essentially another Brexit referendum? I honestly wonder whether these strongholds would vote Tory for anything other than Brexit. I think it was a mix. There is a new generation of voters now in the North. 30 plus years old, hard working with a decent standard of life. They can see that a Labour government will hurt them and their income. The Labour Party in the north draws votes from pakis, idealistic students, rich idealists and died in the wool tory haters that rely on hand outs. The hard working class are turning Conservative I believe from talking to 'man downt pub'. I speak to so many people who were once left wing and idealistic, now they have a half decent job or run their own business, face sending their kids to a paki school, see issues with mass immigration they didn't see before and worry about their kids future. They earn good money but it's all spent on living a half decent life, keeping their house in good order, running two cars they need to work, enjoying a summer holiday once a year. They have opened their eyes and can see that to give anyone else extra, for nothing will have to be ultimately paid for by someone....these same people saw the mass unemployment and hardship at the end of the last Labour government 6
WILF 47,344
I think it was a culmination. Chris, you know yourself that there are these massive “super schools” in Burnley and areas like that where it’s almost all pakis. You have also witnessed from afar how ludicrous the Brexit process had become, it’s crippled things over there and it was also blatantly obvious that the “student union” set in parliament thought everyone was f***ing idiots and treated them that way. Then Corbyn and McDonalds ludicrous 1970s economic proposals.....nobody is buying that in this day and age. They have said a lot about “could it have been Anti Semitism in the Labour Party”......I don’t think that had anything to do with it because let’s be honest, nobody’s gives a shit about the yids or any other religious sect bar the Muslims raping kids willy nilly. I also think Boris has a trick up his sleeve, we know everyone says he’s a buffoon......but he’s the kind of Buffon in the everyday sense of the word, he talks ordinary people’s language. He knows how to engage with people.......plus, anyone who levels an 8 year old jap at rugby has got to be ok, right? Lol 2

I’d put money on the don for another win next time too I can't really disagree with any of that except the bit about Hillary. Everyone stopped caring about her when she couldn't get the result. It's not right or wrong it's win or lose. I still wouldn't bet against Don and he's still sh*t. 3 hours ago, WILF said: I think it was a culmination. Lol The whole political show since 2016 has been absolutely bonkers and I certainly wouldn't speculate on much these days. Brexit has been a pleasant distraction for the yanks. Given them chance to take their minds of the shower of shite we call elected leaders. I just still can't believe we're living a world where Boris Johnson and DJT are legit world leaders! 1

WILF 47,344
I think it says less about Boris and Donald and more about the class of politicians we have endured the last 20 years.......I don’t think it’s a question of them being brilliant, it’s just to the ordinary man in the street all the others are complete mental cases. When you have a political thought process that makes it legal for grown men to f**k male minors in the arse BUT illegal to put a video of your pug dog on YouTube doing sieg heil salutes for a laugh then you know at some point, it has to move to try and right itself......... 6

It's certainly been quite the process as it tries! 2020 is going to be an entertaining year by all accounts. The only thing I'm missing is for UK Gold to start streaming repeats of The Sweeney over here. I'm all set then!

It's not one group trying to f*ck over another group, it's them and us. If you take the minorities away from both sides and boil it down to the core normal people are sick of them taking our money and spending it on themselves and giving it away while we struggle.

I heard the other day that it has cost $45 million to impeach Trump!!......and they still can’t win it !’ Very similar to Brexit really, they have spent fortunes to try and frustrate it and they still lost. I mean, of course they dont give a shit because it’s not their money but it’s lousy. Theres homeless people this Christmas and they are squandering money like that.....they could have bought everyone homeless person a house for that sort of money. Theres homeless people this Christmas and they are squandering money like that.....they could have bought everyone homeless person a house for that sort of money. Pricks ! The amount of money squandered on this show is obscene. Truly disgusting. It's pandering to their supporters and nothing more. This is where the moderate America is getting annoyed because we all knew they had flimsy evidence and they wouldn't be able to successfully argue the case with their words. We all knew that they'd vote on party lines because that's all they've done for years. We all knew that congress would vote for it, because they have a majority and that the senate wouldn't because they don't. Yet they persisted anyway. We all know it won't stick. The actual cost of this hasn't been divulged, to my knowledge. I've not seen/read anything that even begins to accurately quantify how much money they're spending on the process suffice to say that it won't be free. But even if it was free, we all knew the outcome and the sheer amount of time spent on the process is disgusting when you look at how many problems the country is facing that they're not devoting time to! That's the real f*ck*ng crime being committed. Last week all of these clowns voted to a $1.4 trillion (with a 'T') spending plan to keep the government running! That takes the federal budget to a whopping $4.76 trillion for the fiscal year! That's 21% of the US' GDP! Yet we're told that this is essential and we just have to lump it. Not a single one of them is addressing this swamp or even attempting to drain it. 1 hour ago, DIDO.1 said: That's where I would disagree, yes I can see their faults but I actually trust them both to create a stable future. We have many issues but I reckon we at least have to men who aren't afraid to say it how it is That's a fair one, mate. Boris has his majority and has a clean slate in the top job. As I said back in 2016 with Donnie. Deeds not words. We'll see what he does with the time and money the British voters have graced him with and whether he'll make a difference. That's going to take a few minutes! Donnie on the other hand has done ¾ of his first term in office and has done absolutely f*ck all to address his election promises. The main ones being reigning in government spending and fixing a broken healthcare system. Nada. In fact that is going in the opposite direction. I agree with you that they're not pushing their own brand of socialism but they're not doing anything to undo the damage it's causing either. In fact this end they're using your end as a template for what they want to push. At least the democrats are. I generally don't have an issue with people saying things how they see it but after a few years in the job I'd be expecting them to actually be doing something about it. At least this end that hasn't happened yet with no indication that it will be changing any time soon. Simply point at their opponents and calling them out as c*nts is all well and good but not tackling their own failings and pushing the blame onto another administration is a trick that doesn't work anymore.
