There would need to be some good business heads at the top, not some Indian poof that likes young rent boys. 3

There’s quiet a socialist political mentality in Ireland, I’m not sure they would like the massive deregulation that small countries need in order to be really successful. The investment that’s here at the moment is because of the corporation tax rate and the weather. It basically costs less to run the servers because of the temperate climate and they only pay 12.5% corp tax. Europe is going to come after that tax rate at some point in the future.

They already have, about 4 years ago they started by saying that Ireland was not playing fair by competing with low business rates. I believe they got fined. Edited to add; 13 Billion€ Edited December 14, 2019 by mushroom

Mind you, who’s paying the €13billion, ordinary people is who so the tax rate is being subsidised by them.
Accip74 7,112
I’ve always kept out of these Irish discussions because I’ve always felt I’ve got no place to cast an opinion, but it’s always struck me as bizarre that Ireland isn’t one rather than split. A united ireland seems to make much more sense than the north being part of the United Kingdom......... I don’t want no argument though!
