pegs/poles??

hi just bought my first longnet what poles/pegs do you use???

my first longnet, i used electric fence poles, the smooth type, not the ones with lugs on, about 21" length with a 6" metal point, work great for tough ground and had a slit in top for putting the head line in,

have since gone onto MAGNUM fibreglass poles, £3.70 each but only because i turned net into a quickset net and basket

hazel poles so cheap they are free,,

yeh was goin to cut some hazel poles what lenth would you suggest???

mine are 25" or around the 2foot mark

i use a high tensial fence wire and bend it to the desired shape at the top its so thin you can stick it in to any ground no matter how hard it is and if it bends at all which it rarely dose just bend it back

Hazel mate cheap and effective.............mine are about 22 inches long....as i like a low net setting.
