but I seen a very poor example on a regular basis that just didn’t have gears to spare , was actually poorly constituted, and was reluctant to strike 

another one was the most violent lurcher I’ve met and was eventually killed in a kennel fight 

to reinforce the opinion I held , the mother of the above two dogs was mated to a first cross Saluki grey male and the progeny were genuine all rounders, one male was probably my favourite ever dog to walk out with as he just totally knew whatever got up he could handle

Just to add to it , I seen a bitch bred deerhound to collie grey come from A s in wales and that was poor as well
