One last picture as I’m still ever so slightly excited, this was the moment of realising a dream I’ve had for most of my life am also able to give my daughter and grandkids a stable family home in the

Guess what I,ve just bought ????? couple of pics from inside, all the China wear came with it, I have added nothing or removed nothing ?

This is what it actually is, it’s called a Leeds and Liverpool short boat originally used to transport goods, but instead of a cargo hold its got accommodation, this one was made for somebody in 1995

Use a bit of common mate and steam it open .Theyll never know .?

Can’t do that mate, I’m a very straight player, if I steamed it open I’d tell her I had done it, I have never had feck all in life so my integrity is quite valuable to me ?

My misses is my best mate, we are in it together and she is giving up a lot more than me I come from a travelling background and can’t wait to get away ,my misses would sit here until she died she love the house and all the shit that goes with it, so it’s only fair we open it together ?

I have a small boat already that I spend weekends and odd weeks on and must say I enjoy the winters much more than the Summers, think like most walks of life it’s better when the solar powered wankers disappear to do what ever they all do when the sun goes in, nothing better than waking up on a freezing morning to the smell of woodsmoke ???

Get some pics on regular through the winter be nice to see mate.

I agree the smell of woodsmoke on a boat.living the dream kettle on aswell.

And 100's of woods to explore and the odd few fields..plenty to go at with the dogs and catty..

does sound a nice life on one of them narrow boats...some are done out right nice..

I would think it would be a nice way to get on to a bit of running ground with the dog as well....good luck with it

A friend of mine who,s since passed on used to live on one and he was eating everything that he caught or shot from his boat, no motor to try and hide, just slip out for a few hours with the dogsat night or pop the gun out the window, he even ate a couple of those big white things that belong to the queen, always used to say I can see why she wants to own them all because they taste so nice ✌️✌️✌️

That's the future, chucking bull crosses out of a barge instead of a motor. ? I imagine the hunting would be a lot more serene.

I'd have to book a week off though to have a night lamping anywhere decent.

Are they coming to see you or are you going to see them? ?

Easier if I drive my van up to Gloucester as it will only take 30 mins we’re as the boat could take a fortnight to get to me, I,m after a ship not a tow along ??
