Lone forward can work if you have agressive attacking mid fields and wide players because what you do without the ball is as important as the rare times you have the ball, if your mid following up can hit teams hard and fast in the gaps you create it’s a winner. Im willing to bet that what we did wasn’t that, what we did was have a “Target man” (god I hate that term!) and hope we could scrabble a few knock downs while keeping most of team behind the ball to try not to loose! Thats pure shit that is. Now a target man is a different beast . See nial Quinn.. Oh f**k what have started!! Lol

keepdiggin 9,559
Man utd will stick will ole till end of the season I think, so the Everton job would ne perfect for him unless he wants to stay in London and wait for the West ham job which will be available soo imo.

pesky1972 5,217
City out the title race before Christmas. Whodda thunk it. Only Leicester can stop Liverpool winning the title now. Rodgers has stopped them before so who knows...

Stoney100 1,179
Yeah good stuff from United......city 14 points behind liverpool now, wouldn’t say they are out of the race just yet tho......only half way through the season and Liverpool have got a lot of work left to do, even tho there’s plenty of breathing space for now and room for a couple of slip ups they still have to keep winning and be relentless in every game!

WILF 46,608
Was at the non league yesterday with the boy, playing Haringey Borough. Proper bit of edgey, aggressive English football. Proper tackles, just enough nastiness to make it interesting, decent men’s football talk......£18 for me and the boy to get in! Local team ended up winning 4-2. Great afternoon out for less than 20 quid.
