Absolutely mate.... messi is a fantastic player, no doubt...and football fans will argue over who's the best out of them forever.... but as you rightly say, Ronaldos sheer will and graft to be the best makes him the best imo...

I have always said you can’t say who the best is out of him and Messi, they are completely different players mate.

Easy starting a topic about your club when they’re sitting top. Takes a real man to keep a thread going to over eighty pages for the 52nd best club in the country. Ahhh, now that’s Bisto ?

Klopp out ..     Been saying it for weeks now  Henderson and Milne .let's gone   Salah over the hill   Firmino teeth too white    Mane what the fuks going

I think plenty of chaps of my/our generation will be quite pleased that the big team when we was all young are back on top......i always said id love to of been a Liverpool fan but you cant just choos

Ahh they knew they had a special talent mate, they don’t fly 12 year olds half way round the world along with his dad, set them up in a house and pay for his medical treatment to help with his growth for nothing.

Traditionally West Ham have always been renowned for the young talent we brought through, very few West Ham sides over the past 50 years have not contained at least 3 or 4 regular first team home grown players....ok at the moment theres only 2 Declan Rice and Mark Noble but i put the blame for the recent lower numbers squarely at the feet of that silly fat c**t Allardyce.......our academy/youth squad had for years and years been run by Tony Carr,a brilliant talent spotter who raised a lot of young players up from local leagues to play at the very highest level ( the 2010 England World Cup team contained 7 out of the 11 players out of the West Ham Academy run by Carr )......yet during the Allardyce tenure at the club he all but broke our academy apart preferring cheap African imports to local lads at one point going on record telling the owners " big clubs buy big players, small clubs grow their own "....hopefully the recent appointment of Ricky Martin who described the job as " The most illustrious job in the world of youth football " will see a return to the traditions of the club on a similar level as before.

Nothing new there Wilf. Leeds brought Jack Charlton all the way from Northumberland, put him up in a B&B and told the landlady to feed him up  ?

The plan to play that way came with Cruyff I always thought mate.....that ethic of play was already established when Messi went into the Barca academy I believe

It was a touch tongue in cheek mate  and I think from Dy as well.... Barca has always been a giant, Messi took them to another level...along with Xavi and Iniesta....f**k could those boys play!!

And don't forget Mascherano keeping them safe at the back.

Incidentally, he learned it all at Upton Park ?

True him and Tevez weren't it at the time?

I dont often Google facts etc, but I just checked Messi's record ...

378 goals in 414 games... that is incredible..and hes not even the main striker!!
