trigger2 3,145
Depression is a c**t and can be difficult to live with. It can cause folk to almost separate there self from others as there feelings prevent them from wanting to socialise. I get bouts of it myself I can shut myself away for days refuse to answer the phone as I don’t want to speak or deal with anyone. The thing is with depression it can come and go at the drop of a hat and there’s and you don’t always know what’s triggered it off.

walshie 2,804
People confuse feeling a bit down or cheesed off, with depression. You can't walk off depression. You can't "snap out of it." It all consuming. The trouble is now it's fashionable to tell everyone everything and people who are a bit pissed off with things love to tell others they are suffering with depression, when they just feel how we all do from time to time. I've seen what proper depression can do. and it wasn't sitting there feeling sorry for himself. He seemed right as rain - right up to the point he took himself to the park and hanged himself. Its a young mans way of looking at things, when you have been with a good woman for 20 years and she has stood by you through all sorts then you would feel very differently. Only if after all that time and those trials and tribulations did you felt the same would you be a bit of a dick. Maybe so but that’s the way it is.....while I’ve never been with anyone that long and it is a bit of a ridiculous comparison tbh I can still say I’d react the same.......and I’d tell them if I ever went that way that they should f**k off to......I’m just saying I don’t want to ever be involved with a depressed person as it must be the most pointless waste of time when it could be spent with a happy person who doesn’t suffer from any made up, unseen depression

If you were married or in a long term relationship and you got unlucky enough to suffer from depression, would you expect your other half to stand by you and support you, or would you expect them to piss off as it wasn't convenient? Stoney100 1,179
These threads always go the same way.......someone says how they really feel about depression and then gets shot down because he doesn’t agree with how someone else feels about depression. Facts are they are just another type of person that you deal with however you want to........it’s ok to walk away and it’s ok not talk to them......I wouldn’t try and fix a broken leg so I sure as f**k ain’t going to attempt to fix a broken mind

As we speak all the family next door are pulling up outside the house awaiting the hurst to bury a lad in his 20s who ended his life in the last couple of weeks due to depression. Use to see the lad most days and never once thought he had got issues it’s a strange old thing
