FF How do you fasten your net to the poles mate, do you have grommets on top and bottom, was the net not finnished on that pic, i dont understand how none of the netting is hanging out of the basket on the poles. 1 Quote Link to post
Furrosious ferreter 499
How do you trap moles? Ive been asked before to do it... but ive always just put ferret crap in the runs to move them on. Do you need a license? FF Quote Link to post
lifelong cumbrian 1,826
have a look on trapping section mate, be some good posts about it on there. ATB. Quote Link to post
Furrosious ferreter 499
Net/running lines tied to gromets by clove hitch, the gromets allow it to be pushed up the pole. So all goes in the drum. FF Quote Link to post
lifelong cumbrian 1,826
ok thats why, i use clove hitch on grommets when i make them up but i set them at the right height when putting together, i only ever move them to make poles longer or shorter for ground conditions ie woods, sandy round etc where i need more pole in the ground. I just use barrel as i would my baskets. Quote Link to post
lifelong cumbrian 1,826
I just slide my hand up the netting to drop it in the slot when putting back in the basket or barrel, i couldnt be bothered sliding the grommets all the time but just my personal opinion, ATB. 1 Quote Link to post
Furrosious ferreter 499
Yeah... i have 5x 10 yarders that i dont move that are in a basket but needed a long longnet to put in a straight line along a hedge and used my 10s for stops across the hedge. Its abit of a ball ache but ill get used to it. I didnt like the idea of putting net though the plastic slits FF Is that you in the video? I seen that one before when i first started i believe Edited October 20, 2019 by Furrosious ferreter Quote Link to post
lifelong cumbrian 1,826
yes it is mate, i personally have never had a problem with the plastic barrel damaging the net. Quote Link to post
