Hi everybody,

I am a long time lurker of this forum and found a lot of good information here.

This is my first lurcher pup and I (obviously) think she is coming along nicely. She is a Whippet x German Pinscher (the mating was more of an accident, but I know both parents and they are wonderful).
I am from Germany so please beware that I am not allowed to work her here legally...

Feel free to ask any questions you might have and have a good day!

It is like a smaller version of Doberman (45-50 cm to the shoulder). A Doberman can be called Riesenpinscher (Giant Pinscher).
They do not have a long history but are probably descendants from farm/carriage dogs. They are mostly watchdogs, but they were also used for ratting and so on.
As already said this was an accidental mating. For a lurcher a german pinscher would not be my first choice of breed.

Morning, taken a step back from quad bikes and hounds - Don’t need the grief anymore. Having moved house my country has changed, curious of those that do hunt the hills with their lurches and a terrier at your heel, how do you bring them on? Getting the right dog for the job is no brainier but what about the training? Thanks.

      **sorry for the double post**
I know I'm probably going to get the piss severely ripped out of me for asking this, but
Has anyone ever successfully trained a deaf lurcher (from two working parents and I own her 4 year old sister who is an awesome little bunny basher.)
Genetically she has potential, but...what do you experts think?
She's not a Double merle by the way, it's extreme piebald/white head. Her vision is perfect
