Airedale terrier crosses

Recommended Posts

Out with my terriers and whippet pup i stopped to chat with a guy i see most days and i always admire his Airedale terrier, he has been breeding and showing them for 20 odd yrs.

his son uses one on shooting days as a beating dog and it will also retreave.

I was just thinking about one being used over a greyhound to breed a lurcher( not that i would breed any pups), has anyone seen or worked one.

i was thinking they must be simalar to beddy crosses just bigger and a touch heavyer

It is pretty easy to spot which of the dogs in that pic is an airadael cross.

I read a bit about him on another board once and the guy that owns him (in the USA) swears he is a cracker. If memory serves he siad he was the business on toothed game foxes and coyotes. The guys email adress is on his site there if you had any quesions. I believe he was bred out of a working line airadale but I dont remember the other half (probably a Greyhound or lurcher).
