First time out for my pup

Took my 4.1/2 month old cocker pup out today to do a bit of training with the dummy, first time shes been out of the garden, i thought shed be distracted with all the different smells and noise of the trains but it didnt bother her at all, it was throwing down with rain aswell and this is the first time she has been in any water, retrieved back to hand every time, well pleased with today

And worked well in the long grass to find it aswell

Cracking start. What sort of shooting do you do mr nap ?

Cheers terry, i shoot air rifle, i get plenty of rabbits and pigeons, i loose way too many of both with having no dog, i go ferreting aswell so hopefully she'l do both jobs for me

Grand looking pup mate , and a great companion I’m sure you will have , 

start the whistle when she turns to return to you , she’ll get to know two short blasts means come back , good luck mate

Cheers David, already doing that with the whistle but im doing 3 blasts to come back,  il be doing 1 to stop and 2 to turn, when shes learn come back.

Had to rehome the pup as we just found out our grandson who lives with us has an allergy to dogs and for the past few weeks is having to take inhalers, totally gutted about this as she was coming on pretty well.

Shame you couldn't kennel the dog, just caught this thread, the makings of a cracking companion.

Cheers lads, no it wouldnt get enough attention living outside with the work iv got now, i only had weekends as it is to give the pup some time, she was for a family pet aswell so were all pissed off about it, we wanted her to be a house dog and working dog for me
