Here’s some old pictures of some dogs I’ve had when I was younger.

Not bred as coursing dogs, but caught plenty of hares. I suppose when that’s the main quarry on the land, they learn how to hunt and kill them. Plus they get very fit whilst trying .

when your a kid there's no limits to the work you can throw at your dogs?was out every morning with my terriers and at night with the runners.....having a family and work commitments is a pain these d

It was my works van.. long before trackers were fitted.. I used to have to clean it every Monday morning before I turned up at work, with the states I got it in.

and you get to an age when your not as keen to drag ya ass out for an early morning dig in the frost  or a late night run in the rain ..

Kin el sid, I was past the 'late night run in the rain' stage before I was 30! Lol. But years ago we walked everywhere., hardly any of us had our own transport lol. Still like some early morning mooches etc though ?

Mine was an escort MK3 a B reg (1985 I think)... this was early 90s

Got pulled one night 2 dogs with heads out of the back windows, me and my mate in the front looking rough..

Woman copper asked me to open the boot, there was 4 rabbits in the back and a cricket bat (there from messing on the beach one day).... she looked at me funny and said "what's the cricket bat for"....I said "playing cricket"...

She laughed and off we went... I was 17 then... different times....probably done with carrying a weapon now..lol

Morning, taken a step back from quad bikes and hounds - Don’t need the grief anymore. Having moved house my country has changed, curious of those that do hunt the hills with their lurches and a terrier at your heel, how do you bring them on? Getting the right dog for the job is no brainier but what about the training? Thanks.

      **sorry for the double post**
I know I'm probably going to get the piss severely ripped out of me for asking this, but
Has anyone ever successfully trained a deaf lurcher (from two working parents and I own her 4 year old sister who is an awesome little bunny basher.)
Genetically she has potential, but...what do you experts think?
She's not a Double merle by the way, it's extreme piebald/white head. Her vision is perfect
