tommy.c 859 Posted January 6, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 6, 2008 well everyone took my pup out again today,we started of with a set along a bank coverd in bramble so we decided not to net it and just bolted them, in went the ferret and straight away a rabbit bolted the pup wacthed so i slipped him, and "YES" of he went in hot persuit dont think he was to sure but at least he chased, when the second rabbit bolted away he went again this time he seemed a lot more intrested, think ill defo give him a chance and not get rid! thanks for all your advice everyone and ill try and get some pics sorted on his progress ( tommy.c) Quote Link to post

mat p 0 Posted January 7, 2008 Report Share Posted January 7, 2008 best of luck with him mate i had problems with my dog up until 12 months old he was hard work and many a time tested my patiance to boiling piont not so much with chasing rabbits he loved that it was with his alround behaviour he would run a mile to sniff a dogs arse and if the other dog give chase then it could go on forever and i would be left with a soar throat from shouting him and a red face from chasing him round many a time i just wanted to turn and walk off but im glad i persisted as hes turned out better than i ever imagined it seems like the penny drops and you never look back nowadays he seems to impress me more and more everytime we go out ive just took him for a walk over the woods by my house and he never lifted his nose off the deck followed the lines and marked 3 earths that looked well run and i can count on 1 hand the amount of foxs hes seen i just wished id took the terrier to see if he was being true or not nevermind tho theres always tomorrow! anyways best of luck with the pup im sure hell come good.
