tommy.c 859
just looking for a bit of advice folks, took my 9month old colie x out for his first time ferreting, all he wanted to do was play, we boltet a rabbit and he never showed any intrest when we caught a rabbit i put it down beside him and again he just sniffed it and turned away, ive never had a pup like this before, is he going to be a slow learner or just a plonker, thinking of getting rid ,, WHAT USE THINK. weejohn 3
took my max out ferreting yesterday, hes nearly 8 months and he just buggered off up the hill to play in the snow, i definately wouldnt get rid as he is just a very slow maturer and will come good in the end. must say he does show interest in the rabbits though if they run for your pup i would just keep at it with him but make the rabbit run away then he will show interest. Nell was the same till recently, has seen rabbits bolted and ran back to me rather than chase them Last week the terries bolted one and she chased it...allbeit half heartedly not sure what to do, but she def chased it. Looks like she is going to be more than a paper shredder after all Moll. Quote Link to post
