EOD 0
I’m out all the time mate 2 dug too this last while. feck I over the moon with that and maybe that’s enough for the young dog not fully matured yet. Where I walk regular I found there been checked too often and nothing staying. mid January First time checked dogs had to recover for a few weeks. Quote Link to post
macster 1
i,ve 3 dug so far, thats for about 13 days hunting. i hunt a differeny spot evety week and dont return to that spot for at least 4 weeks but i reckon 6 is better. if your trying same spots all the time the foxes wont settle. i'll be over the moon if i end up with 6 or 7 foxes by end of season. Good honest post there TRUE Quote Link to post
Guest whitser
managed another 2 foxes since that last post. up to 5 now. with only a few weeks left i think 6 renard will be a good season. we got a fox last week with my mates bitch biddy. she went to ground after a fox under a massive pile of onion crates. we had to climb up on to the crates about 20 feet high, scale across the top and squeeze down the sides to where the terrier was. then we had the use the graft to pop the planks of the side of the box climb inside and pull up the planks on the floor of the box to get the fox. it was a big dog, dont ask me how he squeezed up that tight. it was one of the madest hunts ever and of course i'd left the camera at home. top terrierman 90
you could have over hunted your spots last year or not filled in earths [bANNED TEXT].have about 25 foxs dug since novmber but have been out alot of times and got noting tryed alot of earths that had been dug buy someone else last season and not looked after [bANNED TEXT] and wouldnt say theyl be used again for a while.most important thing is to backfill [bANNED TEXT] and youl get a fox in the same earth nearly every year.and keep trying.
