Lloyd90 509
Can anyone advise me their method of getting a spaniel rock solid on the stop whistle even on the flush please? I had mine out this week on a training day, birds were flushing either side of him, just a few feet away, and he sat and watched them shot and retrieved by other dogs no problem. Issue is, when he gets a solid contact flush himself, such as pushing the bird off the end of his own nose, or right past his face, he will break and give chase. So far I have just been running him down, dragging him back to the stop and scruffing him on the spot whilst blowing the stop whistle. I cna throw dummies and balls past him all day long and he will stop, but in the field is another game. thanks Quote Link to post
