One of the most talented fighters of all time, a shame he wasn't as dedicated as he could have been.

Yep, good call Saying that, how many good fighters do we forget over the years until someone reminds us? Lol Edited September 20, 2019 by shaaark
Jobi 387
RJJ is a strange one, he looked to have a decent set of whiskers throughout his career until he made the mistake of going back down to LHW to face Tarver, after their second bout his chin turned to glass. Once he lost his athleticism and speed his fundamental flaws really reared their ugly head. In his prime though he was something special, probably the biggest freak of all time. I would wait a while yet, Saudi is currently under attack from Iran sponsored rebels. There has been drone and cruise missile attacks only this last week against two of Saudi's oil fields , Abqaiq and Khurais . The worrying thing being that the Saudi's state of the art defence system is apparently defenceless against these attacks . Handily these attacks are hardly being mentioned in the media. You can not tell me a massive sporting event full of Westerners would not be thought of as a legitimate target over there. Edited September 21, 2019 by MickC

There is always a chance Ray with the fight being over there that something certainly could scupper it. I certainly would not be buying tickets and getting booked up just yet. Despite what's on a few forums I think Ruiz is right up for this rematch and hopefully we have a clear winner in this rematch without any controversy. Yeah that’s why I asked really.....but surely Eddie Hearn and the rest wouldn’t risk it if it was so bad? Haven’t they had UFC and F1 over there with no issues? Then you have Johnson who also fought everybody available to him whilst being the most hated man in America. You also have to factor in the times when these two fighters fought. Do you honestly think Ali with his big mouth and being a racist who despised White people would have got away with what he said when Johnson and Louis where fighting ? Opinions are just that opinions but people forget what the political climate was like back in the day when the likes of Johnson and Louis fought . The only reason id say Ali's resume was stronger was because of the era he fought in.....the big names of his era were bigger than the big names of Louis/Johnson era....not just bigger names but better fighters in my opinion.....its an interesting debate though.

Like the old saying goes, styles make fights. This is an opinion i hear a lot but just cant agree with....if you genuinely believe Klitchsko was a great fighter then he should have found a way to figure Fury out.....if he wasnt....he couldnt....simple....it doesnt take a clever person to see that the Klitchsko that fought Fury was not the same fighter that fought Joshua....for what reason a guy doesnt turn up sometimes who knows, not everything that happens in a boxing ring has a black and white explanation.....its just a fight.
