Ferret Passed Away.

Just got home after a trip to vets with my wife's hob ( Badger), found him collapsed in his run at 7.30pm blood from rear end, wife done her best to revive him as he was still breathing, but became worse & worse, vet put him to sleep. A great old hob, good at Rabbits & great with people & the dogs, I know he was just a ferret but tears have been shed.

Hard not to cry when a hunting partner dies.I usually shed more tears when my animals die than when people I know die.R.I.P Badger.

I know, in my line of work I have to portray a hard image but I crumble when one of my team goes. Still it's the way of life.

It's always sad when pet/ hunting partner dies. The amount of time we spend with them from day to day caring for them and out hunting the bond is massive.

One of my old jills died last week must have been around 12 years old at least. must admit it got to me a bit had a soft spot for her

True on both counts but as i get older i value the lives of my keeps a lot more than when i was young. Being a soft barstuerd sits well with me lol
