pointer28 1
Heard of ferrets bolting a fox but never experienced it myself, and if you're thinking of trying it, please don't. A fox would make very short work of your ferrets, I imagine any foxes that bolt just legged it when they got the strange smell, I very much doubt that the ferret came face to face with a fox and forced it to bolt, large hob or otherwise. I have once bolted a cat while rabbiting but again I imagine the cat bolted through fear of the unknown rather than fear of the ferret. I'm not suggesting for one moment that you're stupid, but I was once young myself and did some very silly things that weren't very intelligent in hindsight. Anyway, best of luck with your ferreting. pigeonphill 69
i have heard of it alot but mostly only a hob can usually bolt them also the ycan bolt cats something to do with the fox not being able too stand pain and just running instead of fighting ive bolted a fox useing a jill but like pointer28 said i think a fox would make short work of a ferret, face to face, u just have to see some of the terriers that work fox to see the damage they can do ,flight not fight Quote Link to post
gnipper 6,519
I've always heard of people bolting foxes but never done it myself, my mate had it happen a few times down south. Never bolted a cat either but my mates hob killed a half grown one last week. Quote Link to post
