the value of a good shop

is priceless... called in my local shop today to pick up some cleaning stuff for my centre fire!

when I walked I'm my mates face lit up.. I thought what's he after

as it turns out he's just bought an old webley tracker, this was what he always wanted as a lad but it was to expensive so this is his new baby!

he passed me it and said have a go with it in the back of the shop.. so I did and he said take it home and make it nice!!

the next question was how much is it gonna cost so I said nowt and he waved the price of my cleaning gear

so sorting this will keep me busy while me Sunday dinners cooking

its in bits now tom.. im gonna make a new guide and tophat for it, the top hat in weighs a ton!

ill give the piston a good polish and maybe button it, see how performs after the spring and guides are done

I’ll put something up when it’s done Tom, the piston seal was a rock hard lump of plastic... thought it looked similar to a pro sport seal so tried it and it fits

Haha... sweetcorn comes on a cob and should stay on it
