Proper football man... I like him a lot... I think hes at the right club though, I know it sounds stupid but sometimes it's just a perfect fit...he could ruin his rep with a big money move

I’m quietly excited to see my little club play this season.

We have made a lot of young, decent signings.....good quality lads who have been playing in places that like to play nice football.

Back up goal keepers are a bit of a concern as is out and out forwards but in the whole it’s looking like a positive, young, attack minded set up.

May take a season for them to get going but if we show a few signs of promise and stay up I will be happy enough, anything else is a bonus.

I have to put my hands up and say I wasn’t positive about Pellergrini when he was appointed but I have been proved totally wrong.

He seems to be looking to the future and that can only be a good thing.

stick a tenner on em you never know they might win the league ..

They'll be over 20 points shy of that target. Big gulf between 6th place and 1st.

And another young forward brought in this morning !

Blimey!.....what’s happening at my little club.......not our normal “sign a couple of 35 year olds on massive wages and call it done” crack ! Lol

Im getting a bit dizzy with all this........ once we get over our opening day hammering from City it will be interesting to see how this group develops.

West Ham are on the right track. ?  They've increased the capacity of the ground and are turning the revenue from those attendances into good signings. I think that in the next two years there will be two distinct divisions within the Premier League clubs like Everton, Leicester and West Ham in the top part with Burnley, Southampton and Brighton in the bottom half fighting to avoid relegation every year.

A very well put post nicepix

and something that has been on the cards a while...

whod have thought ten years ago city , Liverpool and Tottenham would be breaking away from the top 6 to make an elite top three?

I see a bigger gulf in class between them and United, Chelsea , Arsenal than between the rest of the chasing pack .

A big shout should go to Everton imho , a very very good example of how to manage expectations and run a football club. They could genuinely break the top 6 and for a grand old club like them , I’d be ecstatic, good club , good support

The club is being well run, going in the right direction, meeting the needs of the times etc...........but there is no doubt for chaps of my era a certain spark has gone ?

Moving grounds was a big kick in the stones that will probably take a generation to fully move on from if truth be told.

Yes, I can understand that. But times and needs change and getting the extra capacity will, or should, improve the club's competitiveness in an increasingly cut-throat business. You can't fight change so at least take heart that the necessary changes being made will benefit the legacy of the club, and nobody can take away your memories.
