Perrys used to be excellent.you had a choice of 20 different ciders all in wooden barrels.take a shot glass and sample what you want. Now there's a choice of 4 with most now bottled. FLATTOP 4,613 Posted August 3, 2019 Report Share Posted August 3, 2019 1 hour ago, Marvel said: how strong is the cider flattopp It’s normally around about 1055 to 1058 ABV ( alcohol by volume ) when I first chuck the hydrometer in after pressing, and after it’s all fermented out it returns about 6% but it varies year to year depending how much fructose the fruit is holding, I only do enough for myself to tick over during the summer I’ve been making it for years with my trusty Vigo press. Theres some good threads in the living off the land section Mole trapper used to make a lot and I’ve put up some pics from start to finish it’s a very satisfying hobby albeit hard graft. 3 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
