Can't be much more factual than that.

Creating a stink pit of illegal animals is a good way to get nailed. The story is most likely exaggerated a bit or a lot when LACS is involved but when the coppers have an excuse to knock the door then other sh1t turns up. Serious lack of intelligence on his part and gives proper pest control bad publicity.
Born Hunter 17,751
I'm sure I was told tales of this fella's brazen behaviour when I was up there a few years ago.... A lot of it is ringing bells.
micky 3,325
I see things like this more and more are the Gamekeepers up in the North under a great deal of pressure to produce greater bags of Birds and Fish ? on one place in Leicestershire the Gaffer told the Syndicate that they were there to shoot Pheasants and Partridge and nothing else on their first day last year one of the guns shot a duck the Boss heard about it and wanted the lot of them off that day , I've been on that patch for 50 years and all I've ever been told was to fill my digs in and even though the Boss is a mate I would be gone in a hour if I didn't .

You can be a gamekeeper and get the job done without been a total idiot. Leaving a KFC bucket of dead animals for a weirdo with dreadlocks to find isn't a good way to promote a shoot. I feel sorry for the ones that lost out on perfectly legal sport after they feel it's to hot to return if the nutjobs are waiting outside the gates. I feel sorry for the large estates in the U.K. They have a lot of value to protect so thread lightly. In Ireland it's mostly small clubs and if there is a disagreement then your bound to see the local loon in the pub and give him one when your not risking your licence. hily 379
Don't know what pressure he was under he didn't live on the estate as reported . The estate has cut down Henlaw wood . Think he will get a custodial sentence. Can't see him changing his mindset so will he ever be employed as a gamey again hope not.

I can see that now the link works the gamekeeper is simply a relic of the past, with no understanding of the modern world all these things were normal practices during a large part of his working life, but he,s failed to adapt and learn to be a good modern hypocrite and liar, not saying I agree with his actions but that his only crime is being really stupid and stuck in the 60s
WILF 46,641
I was on a charter fishing trip off the Sligo coast last year, we landed a load of pollock and mackerel. When we got back, most people only took one or two and some never took any. There was about 4 stone of fish left and I said to the skipper “what you doing with that?” ”We just throw it away!” He said!! f**k that, I took the lot...... I personally think leaving all that fish is worse than what this old boy has done, at least he is killing stuff for a reason....... Its easy to slag off blokes like this, there plenty of shooters and fishermen killing gear with no regard every day of the week. I have not raised my gun in nearly 4 years here save for a couple of crows, reason being, there’s hardly f**k all game at the best of times and I just can’t bring myself to shoot at it when the local hunters don’t bother a f**k to take steps to replenish it. They'll be the same folk that when asked why the hunt/fish will fire away with "I hunt for food! Are you a vegan?". Transparent bullshit.

Round my area the “gun clubs” rear nothing and the you hear the old “oh, there’s not much about” bollocks.......won’t stop them shooting at a pheasant if the oppertunity presents itself. Not my cup of tea I’m afraid, I’m just happy to see them now days. You can see the difference in the UK with its “Keepered Estate” culture just in the sheer amount of game.......the benefits are blatantly obvious and the game is abundant.
