out last night with lamp and dog. dog was chasing a rabbit along the riverbank putting the rabbit under presure .all of a sudden .the rabbit jumped in to the fast flowing rapids.the dog followed :wallbash: but managed to get out .we watched as the rabbit bobbed down the river out off sight. :bye: has any body else had this happen .or other situations :thumbs:

Not quite the same but,many years ago my bitch was onto a hare in the fields next to the river Nith.

 

You'll can guess the rest :hmm:

 

After 2 or 3 minutes of the course the hare headed for the river jumped half way across then swam the rest.By the time the bitch got across it was long gone.

yep this happened to me the other night lamping rabbit and jumps in rapids bitch follows rabbit jumps back out then bitch catches the rabbit in the middle of field :drink::drink::gunsmilie:

i had a rabbit swim out into a dam made it about 5 meters dog caught it bought it to the bank sat it down to shake the water off, the rabbit jumped back in the dam she went and got it and the same thing happened again. the third time she didnt bother to sit it down befor shaking

i was out lamping one night on the golf course near me and my bitch was on a rabbit that decided his best escape route was into the pond , it swam out about ten foot away from the bank and decided to try and get out from the same way it went in ,it was half way up the bank when it was snatched back in crocodile style by my bitch
